Film note: All Boys documentary about young men in Prague gay porn scene

I was interviewed multiple times for this documentary and became friends with the director, Markku Heikkinen. My scenes were dropped from the final cut, however, more than likely because my involvement with mainstream porn in Prague was tangential at best, though I made my own. My scenes got integrated into a shorter documentary called Servizio pubblico (I inadvertently named it) that ended up being half about me, so I guess it worked out all right. 

Neither doc is great, but Servizio pubblico is a bit better, probably because the boys and men (and me) are allowed to speak for themselves without any weird PSA voiceovers. 

The one thing missing from both docs is the ubiquity of methamphetamine abuse endemic to the gay male porn and rent boy scene in Prague ? two aspects of the same thing really. I told Markku about it and the evidence of it was everywhere, not least in the prematurely aged, acne-pocked faces of the older boys, but either he chose to ignore it or his producers found it too unsettling or… who knows. 

One thing I do know is that even if you watched all the docs about this scene and all the porn, you still wouldn’t know the half of it… not even half of the five years I was involved, which I wrote about extensively, But I guess that can be said about all human histories.
